Around east central Jylland, Århus is the number one attraction, a medium sized city I'm quite fond of. If you have time and a car (or a really good public transport plan) here are, however, many interesting places within not much more than an hour. These include:

Ebeltoft
Mols
The Lake District (Skanderborg and Silkeborg)

and perhaps several other hidden places not mentioned here.
