If you are in the southern part of Jutland, a day's visit to Tønder and Møgeltønder (see separate page) is well worth a visit. Tønder has much architecture from the 1600s and 1700s and is a good town for a walking tour.
Tønder is situated on the German border, and within the border areas you can sense a mix of German and Danish cultures. People on border towns on both sides are bilingual, as required in their education. |
