If you are going to hop in a cab, be sure to make sure there is nobody hidden in the back seat! People will prey on tourists (especially drunk ones), hiding in the back and jumping out at the last minute to rob you

At Least Do This: Be sure to get cabs at major roads and always keep on the look out. If a cab seems shady, wait for another one
Alternative: Ifyou are at a hotel, ask somebody that works there to hail yo a cab, they often know what to look for
