Adriatic sea in Croatian language is Jadran or Jadransko more. ‘J’ is pronounced like ‘Y’ in English, like in ‘York’ for example, ‘more’ means ‘sea’.
Capital of Croatia is Zagreb.
There are 8 National parks in Croatia, 4 are in mountain region Paklenica, Plitvice Lakes, Risnjak and Northern Velebit and 4 are in coastal region Krka, Mljet, Brijuni, Kornati.
On UNESCO World Heritage list there are Croatian cities Split, Dubrovnik and Trogir, two monument complexes Basilica of Euphrasius in Porec and cathedral in Sibenik and on the World Heritage list there is also National Park Plitvice Lakes. |
