Packing Lists: Baby Carrier is a Must!

  • Miscellaneous: For our 7-month-old, we brought with us a Snugli carrier, seen here, and a Sit-n-Stroll stroller/carseat. We got more mileage out of the Snugli because you cannot go very far with a baby in a stroller in a city with unexpected staircases, ruins, cobblestones, etc. The stroller was helpful in the airports and taxis, but the Snugli was a must-have for sightseeing.

    Packing Lists: November Rain

  • Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring hats, raincoat, and umbrella. In mid-November it wasn't cold, but it did rain most of the time. Not torrential, but mostly annoying. We mostly walked around in light jackets or none at all, as you can see.

Nicole, thanks for the great shopping tips. Since you don't like Vertecchi (I agree), can you recommend a top class paper store (not an art supply store) in Rome where I can find handmade paper? Any tips for Florence, Milan, or Tunin. Thanks! John
