Restaurant Name: The Blachk Swan (Dirty Duck)

This pub is located close to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and is a favoured haunt for many of the performing artists at the theatre. The walls of the pub have many autographed pictures of famous people who have visited.

The name of the pub depends on which way you walk towards the entrance. If you walk from the theatre is has the 'The Dirty Duck' displayed but if you walk from the local church side it display 'The Black Swan'

This 18th century pub has two separate areas. The Black Swan side is very like a pub would have been in the 1700's a rather dark drinking-bar look with simple tables and old settles. The Dirty Duck side of the pub is also a restaurant with bar snacks available

Favorite Dish: The pubs food tends to be typical English grills, among other dishes. You have the choice of a many appetizers, most of which would make a meal in themselves.

If the weather good you can have drinks in the front garden and watch the world go by on the river

Restaurant Name: The Cafe

The RSC cafe faces the river.

The cafe is open to theatre visitors or the general public. To gain access to the cafe without visiting the theatre take the river pathway along the side of the theatre.

The cafe gives you superb views of the river and the parkland beyond and although the coffee is expensive it is worth a once only visit.

Favorite Dish: The cafe offers a selection of cakes and simple food.

The coffee is excellent but better food and prices can be found in the town.

It’s the views which are its best facility.

Restaurant Name: Countess of Evesham

For meal with a difference a cruse along the River Avon while you are eating is an extremely pleasant way of sight seeing in comfort.

It is a once only occasion for that special anniversary maybe!!!

Favorite Dish: The food is very English and its hard to beat a roasted pork meal with crackling
