No-wait marriage licenses

Banff (and Alberta) is similar to much of the western US (Las Vegas) in that you can get a marriage license with no waiting period and a small fee. Neither of us were Canadian and just needed to present our passports and sign a few papers in order to get married by a Justice of the Peace in Banff National Park.
