Milan was a beautiful city once you hit the downtown area. The surrounding suburbs are a bit boring and have lots of 1950s/60s square ugly building architecure.
The older downtown part of the city is full of pedestrian zones. Buildings were beautiful and we loved the food! Unfortunately the Duomo Cathedral was covered with renovation scaffolding when we were there.
Beware the high prices of hotels in this city, however! |
