Character and kitsch combined... Edinburgh is a 'must-see' for any UK visitor. The city is both old and new, with the historical Royal Mile just being a short walk from the modern, new Parliament building.
With excellent restaurants, pubs, museums and exhibitions it has something to offer for everyone's taste! Thousands visit the city's Tattoo and Fringe festivals each year and for proper New Year celebrations, the Edinburgh Hogmanay should not be missed.
The Castle, being located on top of a hill, overlooks the city which winds its way around it. Folk there are friendly and helpful while still keeping their polite distance.
I intend to make it my new home soon, so keep watching this space... |
