"Ride down the Sazava river " a Ledec nad Sazavou Travel Page by Astralka

This little town is a good starting point if you want to move yourself on water for a couple of days.
We were sailing down the river Sazava divided in several groups according to different vessels. Have a look on that long white (gray?) floated tube, folded and tied in halves.. The advantage of that was, that it had no bottom, which was designed for chilling the beer bottles plunged on string in water. The disadvantage was much bigger, we lost a friend for quite a while ! (see the travelogue below). When the stream was strong it was difficult to keep the balance (dangerous to drink beer..) The raft was the only stable thing that had no accident during the whole river journey :)

Here the river looks friendly, but it wasnt always like that, and never it was boring. Always something in the river itself or on the bank made us alert or stop.

And sleeping outside watching the falling stars was unforgettable, or at least it was a satisfaction for the mosquitos' revenge
