Nightlife Spot: Caffe Florian
This is history and a really interesting but very expensive cafe.
The cafe had a complete restoration in the second half of the XIX century which is how it appears now, it opened on 29th Dec.1720.
It has been known as a meeting place for artists , poets, writers and politicians. Names like Bryon, Charles Dickens, Casanova, to mention just a few. We were lucky as someone on our trip knew of this cafe, so after a trip to Burano , we stopped in for a nightcap.
It wasnt cheap but the barman made all the drinks and exactly filled our glasses, there was no laughter from this man.
As it was dark inside the next couple of pictures will be postcards.
