Perth is the capital city of Western Australia and is the most isolated capital city on earth. When you understand that Western Australia is the largest Australian state and is about the size of Britain, Ireland and Germany combined, you can appreciate that this is no idle claim. Perth is a fairly large city with a population of about 1.3 million and like any modern city and it’s surrounding area, there are endless things to see and do.
I spent 18 days in Perth completing my PADI Divemaster course and taking some spare time to see a bit of the surrounding area. I rented a Toyota “I can’t believe it’s a V6” Camry from AVIS (free double group upgrade) as I was staying a bit out of the centre and didn’t want to rely on public transport to get around. |

Tripack Wed May 25, 2005 09:22 UTC Remember my good time there. I forget to dive in the tank among the sharks ;-( but I discover the top bottom of Swam River during deep dive due to my Adv Open water course. Happy dives! |
