I love this particular road, I have been here at least 6 times and each time I'm here I'm always as fachinated as I was the first time I found it. I have driven up here with a caravan. That was an experience too...
The winding roads brings you on a high altitude above sea level. At the top there are always snow, probably more snow in the summers than you have have seen along a road. Or in your life?

Located in the south part of Norway

Pros and Cons

Pros:Great views over a beautiful valley and mountains
Cons:If you bring a caravan up here, be sure to stop on the way. If the engine is hot, don't stop, drive!!
In a nutshell:Phobias for some, magnificent for others

The drive to Valldal sounds worth the trip. A summer picnic amidst snow...hmm...I have to experience that! :-)
