Albergue das Laranjeiras.: Nice Hostel and B&B Albergue das Laranjeiras Review

We did not stay there but checked out the facility. Location is central and there is a small restaurant.
You can have shared Hostel facilities or B&B with private bath. It could be a bit noisy but no problem if you are young and stay up late! the staff was very helpful.

Unique Qualities: /?and B&B in center of Historic Pelourinho
Seemed to be booked and very busy during the Jan/Feb high season. Would recommend booking ahead.

Pousada do Boqueirao: Pelourinho Historic Center Pousada do Boqueirao Review

The Pousada do Boqueirao is in a good location located in the historic centre of Salvador, Bahia, and overlooks the Bay of All Saints, which can be seen from some of the rooms. The rooms vary from small to suites and the tariff varies accordingly. Our room had a private bath and air conditioning.

It is about a 30 min drive by car or taxi from the international airport of Salvador. However, it is possible to take a low cost airport bus from the airport that will drop you at the center and then you can take a taxi from there to the Pousada. A much cheaper way to get there.

Unique Qualities: The breakfast was the best and the largest we had during our entire month of travels in Brazil. It included many fresh fruits and local dishes i.e., cuscus tapiocca and banana real. Hmmm!

The Pousada boasts a large kitchen with several cooks who begin baking for the next morning as soon as the mornings breakfast is cleared .
