Jutting out into the Gulf of St. Lawrence is the Gaspé Peninsula. The St. Lawrence River is to the north, and the Chaleur Bay and the Province of New Brunswick are to the south.
Two of the biggest attractions to the area are the Percé Rock, and Forillon National Park, both which are at the tip of the peninsula.
Don't forget your camera! |
| | The town of Percé is filled with motels, restaurants, as well as boutiques, souvenir and gift shops.
There are a number of boat cruises offered in the area, depending on whether you just want to sightsee, or go fishing. |
At low tide, it is possible to walk out to the rock from the beach. There are a lot of rocks that make the walk a bit uncomfortable, so it's a good idea to wear something on your feet.
Keep an eye on the tide. You don't want to get caught out by the rock when the tide comes in ! | | | Beachfront view of the Percé Rock |
