The towns of Newcastle and Chatham, as well as the villages of Douglastown, Loggieville, and Nelson-Miramichi merged to become the City of Miramichi, on January 1st, 1995.

It has a population of about 18,500.

Situated at the mouth of the mighty Miramichi River, this area is probably best known for its world-famous salmon fishing.

    With 24 choices for a main meal, you would have to be hard to please if you couldn't find something you liked!
