While the newer areas of Quebec City are certainly worth exploring, spending at least a day walking around the older part of the City (Vieux Quebec) is a must.
There's so much history here, and walking along, or driving through the narrow streets is like being transported back in time.
A recent study found that residents of Quebec City were the second happiest in the country, behind Saint John, NB. This study, sponsored by the Canadian Inst. for Advanced Research and released through the Univ. of British Columbia, was based on almost 100,000 responses to StatsCan's Ethnic Diversity Survey of 2002 and the General Social Survey of 2003. |

Toshioohsako Fri Dec 28, 2007 13:46 UTC A few years ago, I visited Quebec city from Motreal. I remember it was 2 hours' bus ride. It was summer and the city was beautiful like your photo. I felt the city is not exactly like France but it is difficult for me to say how. Good day |
