The beaches are great RV spots are in bad condition, park is unkept. Trash is left everywhere!the park system does not mow . stickers are bad. money for the rv parking is misleading. They require a $15 deposit for electricity you do not get it back!!

We were very excited to try this establishment, but found it to be closed up. Sign on the door says it closed down because of city violations or something. Looks like it had been closed up a while.

They are currently adding more to the Laguna Madre Nature Trail, which means if you've been here, you'll have to come back in a few years to experience the new trail!

Hi! Now that we've moved to Texas, we eventually hope to see S. Padre Island. It looks like there are lots of things to do here--I especially was interested in the turtle sanctuary. Would you recommend a particular time to visit the island? THANKS!

Great page on South Padre Island; beautiful pic of the Portuguese Man of War; shame how something so pretty can be deadly ~ Helen

Me and my wife went to Rovans resteraunt. When our food was coming out my wife unrapped her fork and knife to see a LIVE cockroach staring back at us. All in all this was a terrible experience due to bad service and a filthy establishment.

I can certainly see what attracts people here after reading this page. We have a restaurant in Seattle that serves migas for breakfast, too, & I love it! Super tip on the Sea Turtle Rescue Center, too!

A lot of the trash that you see along the beach at South Padre Island has actaully washed ashore from other locations; or even been dumped from garbage barges, often far way.
