"Tallulah, Madison Parish, Louisiana" Tallulah by Stephen-KarenConn

Tallulah Travel Guide: 5 reviews and 12 photos

There are only two places on earth named Tallulah, the beautiful Tallulah Falls and Gorge in the mountains of north Geogia, and this small town in Louisiana.

Tallulah, Louisiana has a population of just over 8,000 people and serves as the seat of Madison Parish. It is located in the northeastern portion of the state, about 24 miles west of Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Coming from a small Virginia town, I never appreciated its historical significance til I was older. Now I am very interested in towns, monuments and markers as you have shown here; particularly as it relates to the South!

Another delightful courthouse and small page on small towns in America. And, this one has the added benefit of the Confederate View of the war! That is a really beautiful monument, I must say.
