    • On previous visits to San Francisco I had paid more than twice the price for a hotel across the street from this one. The fact that we found an internet special may have helped. The room here was perfectly adequate and could hardly have been better located. We took the money we saved and splurged it elsewhere.

    Unique Qualities: This is not a five star hotel, but it is clean, convenient, and an easy walk from Fisherman's Warf.

     Brings back memories of the years I spent in Berkeley in the 1960s. We used to do live radio broadcasts from Alcatraz when it was occupied by the Indians. I also went by train (from Chicago) but it wasn't called Amtrak at that time.    		Paul2001 Wed Sep 26, 2007 20:40 UTC

     Needless to say, Hans and I also loved San Francisco. What an amazing city! And now we'll just have to return - we forgot to kiss on the Golden Gate Bridge.
