I spent five years on Pohnpei as a Peace Corps volunteer and ex-pat worker. The people that I dealt with were some of the warmest and most caring I have met. Since first going there in 1983, there has been an explosion of modern developements such as electricity and phone service outside of Kolonia. I could not believe that there was actually pizza delivery on the island. Not exactly the Pohnpei I fell in love with, but still good. |
