A picture perfect little Town across S F Bay

Sausalito is one of these picture perfect litlle Cities where the beauty is evident ,you just have to look around .
One way of getting to Sausalito is by way of Ferry from San Francisco Harbour , Pier 41 is the place to get the Ferry ,it takes about 30 minutes and it well worth it On this Ferry boat trip across S F Bay you will see both the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE and as well the BAY BRIDGE ,half way through the trip you will pass by the well know ISLAND OF ALCATRAZ.

Each City has a History ,and so does Sausalito.

Hotel Sausalito

It is hard to believe that this beautiful City Sausalito once was the home of some 25 Gamling Saloons Gaming Halls ,and Bordellos.The name Saucelito .means '' little Willow '',this name was given an Spanish explore in the 18 th century .

A nice little quiet place with great shopping .

Sausalito Harbor.

What we saw in Sausalito was a beautiful Harbour a nice Park with a fountain and lovely Flowers ,and a lot of stores where you could shop till you drop
Some nice restaurants one near the Bay ,a great Seafood restaurant
and I remember a few great places to buy Ice Cream.hehe yummy

In a nutshell:This beautiful peaceful town/village is a must see ,so don't miss it

Hansi, Very nice coverage of a beautifully sited, but crowded, touristy town. The couple are actually paddling ocean kayaks, not canoes. Kayaks are popular, unsinkable, and safer. Doug

I visited several times Sausalito in the 80 when living 1 year in Davis. I don't recognize much. Where are the houseboats that were so pretty? I remember that some wanted them to be removed and others not. I guess they are gone!
