Dutch sea heroes ,de Ruyter, Tromp,and Piet Hein, spent much time here.
Hellevoetsluis is a growing community where a combination of watersports ,history ,and a great area for walking and bicycling atracts many visitors. |

Reparations are going on and will be going on untill 2006.This 200 year old dry-dock will be repaired and the goal is to make it a
'' Cultural Historical Center.''
with a distinct '' Maritime '' caracter. This of course will bring in new visitors ,and that is what the community wants of course. |
