Atlantic Club Campanario de Calahonda

Lori & I went on a two weeks vacation in the Spanish Costa Del Sol. Andalucia.
We stayed at the appartementos featured on this page.
Travelling in the month of March, we found it was very reasonably priced
and not too crowded. Two of my sisters flew from Holland to join us for a week.
When we arrived at Malaga, a bus was ready to drive us to Calahonda. We were quite happy to find out that we had other travellers in our bus that were dropped of in other hotels in the city of Torromolinos& Fuengirola,because it gave us a chance to look at other Hotels.
We were very pleased picking the
Sitio De Calahondaarea.
As you will see in our pictures it is a very relaxed area.
Our appartment was on a hill 1200 meters up from the Highway toMalaga.The distance to Marbella was 12 km, and Fuengirola was just 15 km. Maybe another 20 km further to
Torromolinos.
To sum it up, it was just what we liked, away from the crowd but not too far. Enjoy Lori's photos...

Well, does she look happy or what? There were plenty of Pots & Pans etc. and we really were lucky that they gave us a 3 bedroom apartment. There were four of us for one week. It was very clean and spacious.

Nice Pool but a little cool.

The weather in March was ok.
Somewhere around 20-22 C 70-72 F, a few cloudy days. We used those to go drive up the mountains to see some Villages.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Nice quiet area but still close to everything worth seeing.
Cons:No nice beach within walking distance.
In a nutshell:A place to unwind and feel really relaxed.

Wow, Hans, this is grand. What a great place to stay, and the weather looks marvelous. That's such a fun photo of Lori so happy about the equipment in the kitchen. More wonderful travelogues. I always look forward to them.
