The Mkuzi Game Reserve has several Hides and other Mkuze Game Reserve, South Africa General Tips

Favorite Thing: The Mkuzi Park Hides gives visitors a change to have an close up look at the wild life .The entrance to a hide is a narrow walk way as shown on picture , this way the people can get to the viewing area without being seen by the animals.

Fondest Memory: The next tip will show what you see from inside a hide.

Favorite Thing: From a Hide you can see very well the animals come and drink the water in the waterhole at this picture there was only one Antelope, but of course many animals use these water holes .I believe early in the morning is a good viewing time.

Fondest Memory: This really is an experience not to be missed
when visiting this Game Reserve.

Favorite Thing: If you get tired or hungry there are several picknick areas with tables , they are marked on the map of the park.

The prices on top of Map might be outdated , these are 1994 prices.

Fondest Memory: The Trail can be done self guided or a guided Jeep may be hired through the Camp office.

Favorite Thing: This Map will show the outlay of the Park It will show you were the Hides are located , also were the picnick areas are.
Mkuzi has large areas of rare Sand Forest,where you will see dark leafed Sherbet trees,(Dialium Schlechteri) and also
the Red Heart Tree (Hymenocardia Ulmoides) which looks lovely in the autum.

Fondest Memory: What I missed the most about Mkuzi is all the great animals , the excitement of seeing everything .We did not see Elephants, that was dissapointing but the Giraffes and Zebras and others made up for that.
