important in Pretoria's history . Andries Pretorius was the victorious leader of the '' Boers '' in the war agalnst the Zulus. The founders of the South African Republic were honoured by a colossal Monument located on '' Monument Hill ''as a reminder of the courage and determination of the Voortrekkers. |

I've only driven thru Pretoria & suprised at how pretty it was, Jacaranda's in full bloom. I wonder how many of these monumnets to the old regime are still present in Pretoria as the present govt changed a fair few things but you can't change history | Jasen71 Fri Feb 24, 2006 02:56 UTC
