I never got to set foot on the islands of Phi Phi. I got to see what was under... under water that is. There are 2 Phi Phi Islands, the Don and the Ley. Phi Phi isles is where they partly filmed the Leo Di Caprio movie The Beach. Phi Phi according to our Thai friends used to be this really pristine and untouched island but now, tourism has moved in and some resorts and restaurants have sprouted around. It just isnt what it used to be they say. Although thankfully, it still has managed to stay postcard pretty.
