In 1994 I spent 3 months in Brugge. It was a vocational training. Together with me we were a group of 8 who did this program which included an one month Flemish language course. Unfortunately since that time I never spoke it anymore and forgot many but I really liked it .... During the first month we saw a lot all over Flanderen. Before I came I didn't know a lot about Belgium. Just that the capital is Brussels, that they have three official language and a king & queen. That's not much. During this time I really learned to love Flanderen ...
But I guess I also have to visit the French part :-)
Finally I returned to Brugge for a few hours in August 2003. I stopped for a walk around the city and directly felt at home again. It is such a lovely city!
All the pictures on this page I took during my very short visit in August 2203.

Ah...I remember the chocolate line shop, the one with the giant chocolate 'jaws' in the window front!
I've visited the french part and believe me, except the ardennes and the meuse valley, the flemish part is way much beautiful. Nice pics :) cheers
Brugge is on my list as one of my favorite cities "to stroll." We strolled..........and rode horse-drawn carriages.......in a quest for that cold pint of Leffe!! ;-))
Great pictures.
Beautiful pictures, Barbara!
