Favorite Thing: My friend Silke liked this building best. I liked it more the more I've seen of it ... I have read in my travel book that the monument was built to honor Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of the united Italy. It is increadible how huge it is! It was also the building we passed the most while walking around. Don't asked me why! :-)) Third time is a charm! The first time we saw it we couldn't visit because the president of Malta was coming. The second time it was too late! It closes at 4.30 pm. Finally the third time we had sufficient time to explore this impressive and amazing monument!

Favorite Thing: is Incredibly huge!!! Don't know how high these columns are but they are really high! The little black thing is Silke. Enlage the picture for a better view. It is just impressive!

Favorite Thing: I don't know how many churches have the name Santa Maria in Rome but there are several. I had a closer look inside the Santa Maria de Trastevere. I really liked the palmtree paintings on the wall outside.

Favorite Thing: Every where you can find little or bigger fountains. I guess they can spend a nice refreshment during hot summer days ... This one was at the bus stop just opposite Silke's most favourite building.

Favorite Thing: ... we observed these bizarre sky signs near Piazza della Repubblica and Termini in the late afternoon. Countless birds flew around making awesome figures in the sky! Watch out when walking along there, if you have one open an umbrella otherwise it could happen that these artists of the sky will s**** on you ...

Favorite Thing: The Forum Romanum is a must for every one interested in old stones and history. If you are one of them I guess you have to plan several hours to discovery everything. For me a promade around the forum was enought.
