I've lived here for the last 15 yrs & have seen this place explode with growth but yet we still remain a "small town" atmosphere full of culture, caring citizens and interesting fun if you get out there and get involved. |
| | A little about Alamo Alamogordo located in the Tularosa Basin is a wonderful home depending on what you make of it and interesting place to visit . We've got the best of both worlds, mountains and green, and warm desert air, sun and sand. Don't let the area fool you, we do get snow here too, and with the mountains only about a half hour away, it makes for a lot of fun in the winter. |

| Pros: | "lots of historical things to see, great sunsets, lots of art, culture and outdoor fun" | | Cons: | "I should buy stock in orange barrels! No lakes near us, not enough excitement for teenagers, very little night clubs" | | In A Nutshell: | "More than just desert its an adventure" |
