Situated only an hour from the city of Port Elizabeth and just 15 minutes from the N2, St Francis beckons.

The climate is temperate with warm summers and mild winters. A quaint shopping center, restaurants, an excellent golf course, bowling greens, tennis courts and now squash courts cater for the visitors needs. The Kromme River is navigable for 10 km, and twists and winds its way down to a magnificent marina where the gracious white-walled thatched homes are reflected in the quiet water of the canals, providing a similar ambiance to Venice.Tourists, and particularly hikers, from all over the world visit the area which is known for its rugged, unspoiled coastline – a photographer's dream.
