Jan 2005 - We Had Winter

Many people travel to Reno/Tahoe for the winter sports. But for those of us who live here, we had a real, honest to goodness winter in early 2005. This snow stuck around for months.

Virginia Lake's Outdoor Exercise Park

At Virginia Lake there is a trail around the lake used by walkers, runners, parents stolling with their children, or people sitting and watching the birds.

Equipment: On one end of the lake there is an exercise area, one of those fitness courses.

Directions: Virginia Lake is a few blocks west of South Virginia Avenue; as leaving downtown Reno turn left on Plumb Avenue, and then left again on Lakeside and you'll find the lake.
