Motel 6 Las Vegas - Boulder Highway: Can't Go Wrong Saving Money

    • This author I read said she'd stayed in five star resorts which gave ideas for writing. I was thinking... well, I've stayed at every Motel 6 west of the Mississippi. And boy have I ever found things to write about staying. On this trip I saw a man on the corner who was (sensored), while four cop cars whizzed by toward the Strip. They didn't have time to stop and ticket the man.

    I've only stayed in one of the four Motel 6 motels in Vegas.

    Unique Qualities: Next door to Boulder Station. It rained like anything one night and the place didn't flood. That is a plus. It was clean, comfortable, safe, and I was able to spend money at the casinos.

    • I didn't stay in the Boulder Station. I stayed next door at Motel 6. I gambled and ate at the Boulder Station.

    The comp program is good at any of their (currently) 5 casinos in Vegas.

    Unique Qualities: They have a movie theatre complex, fast food restaurants, and lots of machines to gamble on. They have a poker room.

    I found the food in the Boulder Cafe very good. I ate a sourdough grilled turkey sandwhich and was very pleased with that choice.

    • My mother's cousin recommended Green Valley Station to family. My uncle won $20,000 out there last spring, so we had to try out luck. We drove all the way out and left after dinner because they don't have a poker table.

    Unique Qualities: China Spice was a good restaurant for dinner.
