Here is the view from the park feature called the Devastated Area. Toward the end of May, Highway 44 was closed at this point and you couldn't drive the the park still. It was sceduled to open before the big weekend though. |

Watching The Fisherman This goose was too comfortable to care that I got close enough to take this picture. It was just basking in the sun, alone in its endeavors until a hungry duck jumped up next to it and dried off. My impression from a short visit at Lassen was that it isn't a highly frequented National Park so the wildlife was readily visible.
