Windmill Point Resort

by grandmaR - last update: Dec 25, 2003

Windmill Point

Otter taking sand bath
We have tried to go to Windmill Point twice. The first time in 2001, we were blown away by a storm and ended up taking refuge in the York River. The second time we finally got there, but the resort facilities were not open for the season. White Stone is the nearest town with a post office, but it is 9 miles or more away by road.

The photo is the side of the entrance channel. The otter is the large dark object closest to the sand point.

For the account of the visit, see the travelogue.

Nice job. It's nice seeing pages of little towns not far from where I live.
