We ate at the Dickey's in Frisco one night. Dickey’s Barbecue was founded in 1941 by Travis Dickey in a one-room building at the intersection of Knox and Central Expressway just north of downtown Dallas. The original store had sawdust on the floors and sold beef brisket, ham and ribs. If you wanted a vegetable, you could have potato chips or barbecue beans, or both. Add a bottle of soda, milk or beer and that was the entire menu. There are Dallas Dickey's at these locations with the phone and fax number

After we went to Old City Park, we were looking for a place to eat. The school kids had brought their lunches, but there wasn't any place nearby to eat. Finally we found this place. It was formerly a Blimpies, and they still had the Blimpie menu. But they are no longer really a Blimpie because they wanted to offer wings, and that isn't on the Blimpie menu
Favorite Dish: I don't remember what we had to eat - Sandwiches I think.

We intended to eat at lunch at the top of Reunion Tower at Antares which is the full service restaurant, but there was some kind of big luncheon up there and there would be a long wait before we could get seated. So we decided to eat lunch at the Dome instead.
Antares offers lunch, dinner, and a Sunday brunch in an elegant and contemporary atmosphere. The Dome, a cocktail lounge, is located on Reunion's highest level. Beverages, food, and entertainment are offered nightly. Both Antares and The Dome are on a revolving floor and complete a revolution every 55 minutes.
Since it wasn't night time, and the lunch menu was apparently about the same for both places, we decided on the Dome, which was almost empty.
On the way down after lunch, we saw the Mayor briefly going up the elevator as we had just come down.
Favorite Dish: Bob had the Dome Burger ($7.75) which was on a toasted bun and served with potato chips. I had the Maverick Steak Sandwich (pictured) for $9.25 which was prime rib with jack cheese on sourdough bun and potato chips. Other possibilies were Grilled Chicken Caesar ($8.75) or Lone Star Chicken Sandwich ($7.75)
The desserts (all $6.95) were Chocolate Truffel Cheesecake, New York Style Cheesecake, Pecan Pie or Chocolate Chocolate Cake.
Address: 300 Reunion Blvd E
Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: From Love Field (7 miles):
Take Cedar Springs to Mockingbird. Turn right on Mockingbird. Turn left onto 35E South. Exit Commerce/Reunion Blvd. Turn left onto Reunion
