Sweet Pea's Food Mart: Marathon Gas (fuel) Station and Convenience Store

I took the picture because of the two men in what looked like wheel chairs or mobility carts who were outside the entrance.

Apparently this is something of a local chain. Sweet Pea's was founded in 1983 in an empty rental property owned by Center Independent Oil Co. and they now have a total of nine stores including two in Uniontown. Stores range from being a full service convenience store to some that are basically just gas and cigarettes. Store hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. with some exceptions. All locations have quality brand gasoline at competive prices.

What to buy: We have an old diesel Mercedes, and Sweet Pea's is the only place in Uniontown where we could get diesel. And Uniontown is the only place short of I-68 where you can get diesel or any kind of fuel.

They apparently have a food store here too, but I have not been inside.

What to pay: On 5/30/04 diesel was $1.819/ gallon
