We usually drove through Linthicum Heights on the way home if we were going to get on I-97 from MD Rte. 648. There's a Royal Farms Store in this area, some gas stations, a florist, a real estate office, and a light rail stop. We often stopped at the Linthicum Luncheteria which is a hidden local gem

We came through Linthicum Heights in April 2006 after picking up our daughter at the airport on our way to get on I-695 (the beltway). We stopped here to have lunch.

We passed through Linthicum again in November 2011 - our van driver knew of the Luncheteria, but it wasn't lunchtime so we didn't stop this time.

How about the Motel 6 in L Heights for accommodations? Dreary dive. I spent the night there in 1995. Ask the lady with the gold-capped tooth behind the counter if she remembers me.
