| My sister climbs Gay Head cliffs |
The summer of 1946 and 1947 we boarded at a house outside of Woods Hole named "The Lookout". It had a widows walk. The home owner was a marine broker - he sold boats. He would often take us out with him when he had boats to show to someone. We showed how a family would be on the boat. We went to Falmouth, Hyannis, through the Cape Cod Canal, to Cuttyhunk, to Nantucket, and to Martha's Vineyard.
This picture was taken by my dad. My sister is close to him (age 7) and I am far down the path wearing an identical sunsuit (which my mom made for us) at age 9. Climbing on the cliffs is prohibited now. |

Little_Lou_Lou Sat Jul 23, 2005 16:15 UTC I love the pictures and personal stories. When I visited, we tried to walk the length of Chapiquidick but pooped out before we even got to the bridge! I loved Gay Head, too! |
