"Mountain Retreat at Alpine" Alpine Bay by grandmaR

Alpine Bay Travel Guide: 3 reviews and 22 photos

Finding this place in the dark and in the rain was difficult. The directions said for us to cross the dam (the lake created by the resevoir behind the dam shows a little bit in the top right of this 1995 aerial photo), and turn north on Route 191. The resort would be on the right when we saw the golf course on the left. In the photo, the golf course is a lazy "Y" on the left side of the picture.

After we went past the gatehouse (which doesn't show in the photo) and got to the main office, we got directions from a locked box which said to go up the hill past the water tower and come around and up the hill to our unit which was 4B. The water tower is visible just slightly to the left of center in the picture in the middle of a line of buildings.
