The Firs Inn: Dunhampstead

The Fir Tree serves Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen. It advertises the murders at Oddingly as part of the ambience. We decided to eat inside. It was too hot to eat outside because there was no shade.

Favorite Dish: They had a lunch board which said 2 course lunch was £7.95, but they said it was too late for lunch. The dinners started at about £10.95. They changed their minds and said we could have lunch after all. I had roast beef with yorkshire pudding (which wasn't a real one - more like a muffin than a popover), Bob had turkey and dressing and our daughter had pork and dressing. I had Bristol crème Brule for dessert, and Bob had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream.

Eagle and Sun: Popular pub

This pub is listed in the waterways guide as a very popular. I have not been there. The B'ham & Worcs Gazetteer says "canalside, charming pub serving Bass Beers and good food - much favoured by the local anglers. "

Favorite Dish: The Worcester and Birmingham canal information page says "serves just Banks's and isn't a place to enjoy a pint unless you are eating. However it well worth taking a look at the first thee restored locks on the Droitwich canal just the other side of the road."
