Cahersiveen Travel Guide: 5 reviews and 23 photos

Cahirciveen (Cathair SaidhbhĂn in Irish) - means "town of Little Saidhbh". Cahersiveen is an alternate spelling. Caherciveen has a population of 1294.

Caherciveen is connected to the Irish road network by the N70 national secondary route. We went through it on our bus tour

The town has a cathedral which is the only Church in the country named after a lay person (Daniel O'Connell). It is situated on the river Fertha and on the slopes of Beentee Mountain
