In 1996, the first thing we did after we got our rental car was drive down to the Garrison area and visit the Barbados Museum where we bought a Heritage Pass and a large wall map of the island.

After we had visited the museum, we went to the restaurant Brown Sugar for the lunch buffet - the first of three Bajan buffets we went to. Then we went into Bridgetown to shop.

When we went to Barbados by cruise ship in 2006, on the first visit we drove around the island with a friend. We did not get back to the museum until the second visit at which time we hired a taxi to go out to the museum and then to bring us back to the ship.
