Getting TO/AROUND: Jitney buses (actually vans) provide low cost transportation around the island and are a good way to get a little exposure to the Bahamian culture. It costs about $1 to ride them and is a whole lot cheaper than taxis. You stand at the bus stop (remember they drive on the left), and the bus will stop. You can go into Freeport to the Winn Dixie or to the International Marketplace. If you go to the Winn Dixie n Freeport, there is a terminal in front of the PO to get a ride back to Lucaya.
