"First stop in Agadir" Agadir by Bigjones

The first stop of our trip.

We started by doing some sightseeing with our Moroccan friend K. who kindly picked us up at the airport. But as Agadir is not very nice, it didn't take long. The beach is nice but not the buildings facing it. Anyway, when you arrive from Belgium at that time of the year, you just forget about that and enjoy the sunny weather :-)

Later we all went to some friends of K. who invited us for the "ftur" or "iftar" ( i.e. the first meal served at the end of the day during Ramadan, to break the day's fast). They offered us all traditional meals such as the harira soup, melouis (kind of pancakes), dates and other moroccan delights.

Later in the evening, K.'s friend, Amale (in white on the pic) had her birthday. It was a great experience !! She dressed up, put some make up on and then tens of other girls arrived there and did the same. It took hours. Poor K., the only guy at the party !
