It is difficult for me to describe what I felt when we arrived in Marrakesh. It was kind of a shock coming from a very quiet city like Guelmim where we were the only tourists ! The only thing both cities have in common is probably their red colour. But Marrakesh is much more living ! A lot of people walking in the street, a lot of scooters driving along, a lot of different noises and musics, a lot a delicious smells too, a lot of nice buildings, a lot of artists, dancers, acrobats, story tellers, herborists and a lot of narrow little streets where you can get lost very easily but also discover nice hidden parts of the city or lovely people. Marrakesh is definitely a spectacle for the eyes, especially at night but also during the day when you can see the Atlas mountains from there. Marrakesh is beautiful, living and culturally interesting. Like its snake charmers, Marrakesh charms your eyes and bewitches you completely.
