"A history-packed mountain village" Albarracín by MarcosBroc
Albarracín Travel Guide: 43 reviews and 63 photos
Albarracín is a small village located at over 1,100 metres of altitude, south of Aragon, near Teruel (NE Spain). Its UNESCO-awarded medieval quarter represents an outstanding architectural victory over the humble building materials used along hundreds of years. Excellent tour guides, and accommodation, complete a full Medieval, Christian, Arabic and even Prehistoric art experience. All that in a history-packed village built under the shelter of a mountain.
Be ready for cold nights and bring comfortable shoes though!!!!
- Pros:So much history and art in such a tiny place
- Cons:There is only one daily bus service from Teruel (1 hour)
- In a nutshell:More than I expected from such a small place, totally picturesque
