I've been to Burgundy several times in the last 2 years, thanks to my mum who has a house there.
It's a lovely region of France with its rolling hills, profusion of nature, and of course the famous grape varieties (Meurseult, Puligny Montrachet, Nuits-St-Georges and many more).
Burgundy is mostly rural with a few well-preserved medium-sized towns. If you enjoy bird-watching, rambling, wine-tasting, canal boat trips, or simply sitting in the garden relaxing and breathing the fresh clean air, then consider a visit. It's a perfect retreat from life in a busy city. |

| | The vineyards never end in Burgundy, and not only do they provide top-quality wine, they make great scenery! |
Of course, vines aren't the only things that grow in abundance here. In May the countryside explodes into a riot of colour, especially with poppies. | | |
