SOME MIGHT SAY Fools rush in and despite always being in a rush!!!!
I tend to run run late most times.
Which is due mostly to lack of planning or spending to much time on Vt
My Simple view on life is it sux quite a bit !
As for the other option well that really sucks so live on and face up to all task.
"OMBRE'S QUOTE"
"Beauty may be skin deep but uglyness goes to the bone" .
So call me shallow But at least I can say Diving in the deep end lead to more loss of life than paddling around in the shallow end.
As shallow as that was it was kind of deep don't you think????
I enjoying writing though show no respect to grammar or spelling though I try to write with roar honesty ,hopefully a little humor because to me laughing beats crying any day .
Unless its a Carlton fan crying over a loss to Collingwood .
They say you should not hate but I hate carlton they are just plain scum ,go pies .
what your confused ?
what do you mean you don't know who Collingwood are?
Jeez.!
DO I need to explain everything here?
My View on travel may almost seem strange, in that trip is almost better once over .
By that, I mean you realize just how good it is to have somthing eched in your memory ,
that will help define your worth in terms of culture ,beliefs and more important the differences in which make the true essence of travel great .
That Part is the most Important every where is new day a new sight and every land has different people who help make travel the best moments of our over worked lives.
The real Chance to enjoy ones life
both the good parts and bad.
I Think or rather believe how extremely fortunate I was to have had a chance to see wonderful places meet great people and hopefully grow as person from the experience .
even the really bad people leave a memory that in time you look back on in a ironic fondness .Another Interesting travle story to tell or simply just remember
I'm not sure it's possible not to.
I dont tend to think of a holiday to resort as travel in strict terms
though I happy to do that any time.
The whole view of traveling to different lands and seeing different culture's landscape and everything else that goes along with it should never be taken for granted .
How lucky we are that avation has bought the world so close .
No country is totally out of reach in our life time .I'm lucky and glad I was not born even 90 years ago.
The Key is to at least try having fun and hopefully keeping the raging bug inside most of us here at vt going it's what makess this site great the only bug Im glad to have caught the old travel bug.
My pages are honest accounts of just my view and for that reason I don't offer a history of the country or to many facts about the place outside common interest that i rarely touch on.Far too many books can do that far better than I .
Besides if i copy out of a book it might seem like I can spell or have just realized grammar to be of some importance
Being a Aussie I cant help but try to add little bits of humor at times .
So I hope that some one ,some where some time ,some place might find my poorly spelt pages pages as a insight that can be of help or interest .
alright thats enough crap from me .
i have to go explore a pub :)get drunk and fall down .
My wife drove me to drink and for that I'm thankful
For some reason I thought it might be of interest to add a chapter
on places only in my state of victoria that might be of interest to parents
SO here are some of my top places
in no given order
where a fair day can be enjoyed by the family traveler or single parent .
1 A night with other family members minding the kids ,so I dont have hear the little buggars
2 Soverign hill Ballarat .
(A historical town ship that kids just love)
around 2 hours from melbourne .
allow no less than 4 hours here
3 Science works newport/williamstown
A educational learning adventure that they don't even realize is teaching them stuff .
It's not nerdy at all and quite a bit of fun
4 Melbourne's 3 Zoo's
anyone one of the 3 is worth the time and money .
though the city one would be the most prized I say
5 Puff n billy Belgrave
over priced but every child loves a train ride wonderful scenery along the way.
6 Queenscliff to Sorrento ferry trip
I put this in my son loves boats and it keeps him quite
the trip allows you to take your car and see both sides of the bay
7 amaze and things Phillip Island
small amusement centre well priced and enough to keep then happy and also fun for the parents .
I hear they just added more new things
8 luna park
out dated fun park that still retain's plenty of character .
9 Melbourne Aquarium.
way to expensive but most kids love fish and there are plenty to see.
10 Play centre's
Melbourne has plenty of play centre's for little kids ranging from great to in big need of clean and revamp.
suited for kids up to five years
great places for the parents to get rest while the little angels run themselves into hopefully a good nights sleep.
11 swimming pools
It's almost greedy how many 50 metre swim centre's you can find in melbourne alone .
plenty of fun for kids to have here and well priced .well trained staff on hand.
Well it's not meant to be that but the much troubled Authurs seat chair lift
Has in recent times taken the peaceful trip on a chair lift ride to a much new direction.
All Victorians know what I mean.
Authurs seat chair lift was one of the states best attractions for day tripppers and on fine clear day the views of the bay are grouse (brilliant)
As recent as may 20 though the poor old place had trouble with the ride breaking down leaving people 7 metres high on a chair lift for 4 hours .its the thirs serious case in 3 years or so.
Its sad because i don't know if it will continue but if you take the risk you have good time provide the chair stays up in the air
The pic in the life jackets was taken at the melbourne Aquarium where you can take a boat tour above the water in the innner sanctum of the place .
a bit of fun for the kids and big kids as well
I also hear that herman schieder one of Australia's finest Chef's now runs the cafe at authurs seat .
If this is true go in just for his reputation alone .this man is partly responsible for the brilliant side of what is now a land of great passionate chefs'cooks .
for this reason alone I will go back to aurthur's seat .
Any person in Melbourne who loves sport if proud of this place .
The M.C.G or Melbourne cricket ground know to us locals as the G .
Afl football is biggest sporting code in Australia and any week end during the winter Months you find at least 2 days played here over the week end .
Boxing day is also the biggest day of test cricket in Australia .
crowds on this day can approach 80 000 .football crowds like anzac day can reach 90000
