This was my first visit to Tokyo. The city seemed to shimmer with light and charm. There were tall buidings and small buildings, moving sculptures and shrines. You never know what to expect with each turn of the corner in Tokyo. The city has a charm believe it or not, akin to Paris or New Orleans. It is also ultrafuturistic and at the same time very close to nature and its zen and shinto roots. There is no one way to sum up the city. I understand that when you visit a 2nd or third time you see things that you didn't notice before and you remember more of what you seen. Safe to say Tokyo is a very complex and complicated place, not to mention a whole lot of fun! So go and explore use the subway and find your way around and you will have an unforgettable experience. If you are lucky you will actually feel or see the city float before your eyes! |
